The latest 3D computer aided design and finite analysis systems have been used in the design and development of the Motolug range of trailers to produce a convenient, easy to use and space saving collapsible motorcycle trailer.
Technology also features in the manufacturing of the trailers. Computer controlled machines are used to cut and CNC fold the trailer parts to ensure a consistent, robust high quality product at a competitive price.
Key design criteria such as lightweight and compact dimensions when folded have resulted in products that can be stored away in the boot of a car, a shed, garage, motor home or large cupboard.
By using releasing locking pins the single trailer can be assembled and dismantled quickly and easily without the need for any tools.
The single trailer when dismantled is made up of four main parts, the main beam, axle and two wheel assemblies with the largest part being just over a metre long and weighs approximately 25kg.

All our collapsible motorcycle trailers are fully compliant with Australian Design Regulations and the Australian Motor Vehicles Standards Act 1989.

Features

Ease of loading and unloading is an easy operation and also a key feature of the trailer design. The trailer has a unique pivoting tow hitch arrangement which allows the main beam of the trailer to tilt down to the ground to act as a ramp for loading and unloading the motorcycle. This pivoting tow hitch also provides a third support when exhibiting your bike on the trailer.
The single (S7 Plus) trailer comes standard with the Motolug loading system, which is a pivoting cradle and a fixed ‘V’ shaped front cradle. As your bike is pushed up the ramp the front wheel passes over the pivoting cradle which clamps the front wheel of the bike in place, enabling you to safely secure your bike without assistance. The loading system does not under any circumstances replace the use of straps. This feature is included in the S7 Plus, HSD7 and Bikelug F300 Trailer Packages and an Option for the T7 Conversion Kit.
The small overall size and efficient weight design of the Motolug trailer offers improved car handling and braking, along with significant savings in fuel consumption when towing compared with larger trailers
The trailer fits a standard 50mm tow ball and includes a ‘round’ type 7 pin lighting plug.
